Sunday Yoga Asana

Me-ommmmm Efurryone! Today Brofur Apollo has kindly offered to demonstrate a lovely and stress-relieveing yoga pose: Shashankasana, or hare pose. Furr those bunny bloggers out there, this should be quite natural!

Hind legs are folded and tucked under, then stretch your front legs forward and rest into the pose. As you can see, Apollo is having a little trouble keeping his spine straight and in alignment. This is due to the extra cushy surface. I recommend practicing Shashankasana directly on the floor to maintain proper positioning. Hold for a few minutes to an hour for maximum benefits.

To learn the most essential poses for health and happiness, you can purchase my book, Daily Yoga for a Happy and Healthy Cat here. It is quite suitable also for practitioners of Doga as well as other sentient beings. Most, if not all, of the proceeds will go towards animal rescue, my practice of Karma Yoga! Thank you and Me-Ommmm!

  6. I have to get the book! Cats over here are usually on their backs with all appendages going every which way. I view this as being open for love and hugs.

    2. Actually, I'm completely ahead of myself. Literally! My work changed schedules at the same time as my husband, and I've been writing down the wrong dates all day today! >.< Whoops, maybe I should leave the date keeping to someone else!
